The Camp Connect app keeps you informed, engaged, prepared and connected to your worksite and provides on-hand access to essential information including:
Does the app work offline or when out of mobile reception?
The app and all data will be accessible offline including the mapping functions however
any new information provided while offline will only become available once mobile signal or
WIFI is accessible.
Why cant I access any weblinks provided in the app?
Weblinks require access to mobile or wifi reception as they connect with an external web
address. These will be accessible as soon as a connection to wifi or mobile reception is
available.
How do I update my personal information?
Can I opt out of the app?
Does the app track my location?
The App only uses your location when you are using the mapping functions, or when you
send out an emergency SOS request. All other times the app does not track your location.
Does the app have access to any of my information?
No, the app does not access, request or track any of your information.
Why cant I login with my mobile number and password provided?
Why is my location shown on the map not 100% accurate?
While the mapping function uses the latest technology to determine your location, the
remoteness of the camps means accuracy can sometimes be difficult. We are constantly
working with our team to improve the experience of Camp Connect and are focused on
improving location accuracy.
How do I know a maintenance request is being actioned?
Once a maintenance request has been submitted a confirmation message will appear on
screen. This confirms the issue has been sent to the camp’s maintenance division who will
then action your request accordingly.
What if I go to another camp or visit multiple camps?
If you access more than one camp which use’s Camp Connect you can change between
camps by using the dropdown arrow at the top of the home screen under ‘my site’. Then
select the site you wish to join.
Can we check-in to our flights through the app?
Yes, flight check-in is done via the ‘Village Info’ > ‘Travel & Transport’ > ‘Flight’ section of
the app. You will need access to mobile or WIFI reception to check-in as this uses a weblink
to connect to the airline’s service.
Does it cost me anything to have or use the app?
No, the app is absolutely free for all users with no fees or costs to access any of the
features or content. The app access is from the company.
How do I reset my password?
A user can reset their password using the self-reset feature on the app and this will be sent
to you in a text message. You can set a new password under settings.
I work across multiple sites, can I switch to where I am working?
yes – In the above drop down, if their site admin has added your account to their site and
they are an active user of Camp Connect.
The app won’t work in another country
The app is currently only in use in Australia so you will need to amend your phones geographical location settings for it to work if you are from another country. This will need to be updated via “Google play” as opposed to Samsung or the device phone.
